Today is the day! Of Larks has been months in the making, and we are thrilled to finally share it with you today. For our first post, we thought that briefly sharing how Of Larks began would be fun.
Lianna and Abby first met on a school bus in middle school and were friends and co-drum majors throughout high school. One of our past ventures together resulted in the explosion of some benzoic acid during a high school chemistry lab, a project together we are trusting was not predictive of any future ones. We hope.
Over the years, writing became endeared and enjoyed and, within each of us, the importance of communicating messages through our words in faithfulness to the full counsel of the Bible was instilled. We believe that God’s providence brought us together in the pursuit of creating a space where women can learn, engage, and grow in knowledge of God through writing and words. In this context, Of Larks was born.
We earnestly hope and pray that Of Larks will become a community of women who love God, desire to more clearly understand God and His Word, and thus engage in knowing God and His Word through writing, thoughtful and meaningful discussion, and reflection. We desire that the words shared in this space express hearts that are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy for the grace we have received in Christ.
In the upcoming weeks, all of Of Larks' regular contributors will be sharing our personal testimonies of Christian conversion, evidencing God’s glory in our lives through the origination of our overwhelming gratitude and joy in Christ.
